Tranquility 清静

Tranquility 清静

Tranquility

Agitation helps overcome frigid cold,

Serenity prevails over fiery heat.

The state of Tranquility is thus ensured.

To hasten yet not overheat,

To be still yet not frozen,

Thus a balance is strike.

If one is out in the freezing cold, one’s movement helps to keep the cold at bay,

If one is under the scorching heat, one needs to seek shade to cool down.

It is that state of balance that tranquility may prevail.

Between that of Agitation & Serenity, Balance of Actions & Inactions.

Distorted Truth 直屈

Distorted Truth

That which looks distorted may yet be true,

That which appears awkward may indeed be ingenious,

What seems a loss may be where the gains are.

Favourable Opposition

What is Full is Empty, knowing how to utilized is to be effortless.

Fill what is empty.

Empty what is full.

Thus what’s inverse is reverse.

Thereby achieving Balance.

One who has, is full。

Is complete & lacks none。

The living has life, thus has it all. Complete。

Favorable opposition, is One of emptiness。

Is complete & intact, has none to lose。

To have not, to have nothing, thus has no opposition。

用之于地,地之道无窘;

用之于人,人之道无窘;

若缺才能成,若冲则才能盈;

The Truth of The Way :

Success comes from what is lacking,

it is full because of the emptiness。

Complementing each other is failure & fulfillment。

The Way works by competing & completing each other。

Purpose 其用

Learn from Failures

Great accomplishment has its flaws, knowing how to utilized is to avoid its failures.

It’s not the achievements that are great, it’s how one uses it.

What is it’s purpose ?

Heaven and earth have everything to bear, and all things are achieved without giving up. This is the great achievement of heaven and earth.

If something is successful, there will be shortcomings, and when something is new, there will be a differences, success or failure, on the whole it lies in a word – ‘Utilisation’.

Enough 。

For it to be long lasting,

There’s no danger in knowing when to stop,

There’s no disgrace in knowing when it’s enough.

知足 = Knowing Ones Footsteps

Where have you been, & where are you going ?
